Dr. Catherine Mazzola, the President & CEO of
NJPNI, is very proud to announce that the Presidents of the American
Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS) and the Congress of Neurological
Surgeons (CNS) endorsed the Evidence-Based Pediatric Hydrocephalus Guidelines
on Feb. 5, 2014.
This document is the first practice guideline produced by
and for pediatric neurosurgeons and was created under the auspices of the
Section Guidelines Committee and the Joint Guidelines Committee of the
AANS/CNS. Ann Marie Flannery, MD, FAANS; Paul Klimo, MD, FAANS; and Catherine
Mazzola, MD, FAANS co-Chaired the committee and worked as co-authors on the
guidelines, along with the other committee members.
These Guidelines are CRUCIAL for educating other
neurosurgeons about "best practices" available for the treatment of
children and infants with HYDROCEPHALUS. If you have any questions about
